We are so pleased with Prep 1st and the instruction Velinda and Douglas Parker provided to our daughter Cierra. Douglas Parker worked closely with Cierra on math strategies, which boosted her confidence upon re-taking the SAT. Cierra truly enjoyed working with Mr. Parker and said that the concepts became more relatable with each session. Prep1st has created a positive learning environment. They use a variety of instructional methods to keep the students engage. Their services have been very beneficial to my son. Throughout his participation in the tutoring sessions he has developed a variety test taking strategies for the SAT. Prep 1st has an an outstanding team and they have a sincere desire to improve the test scores of their students. This is an extremely well spent investment. My daughter went up 110 points in just five weeks of test prep. She started off with a 1080 but then ended up with a 1190 after just a few SAT prep sessions. My family and I are so thankful for this experience and will be test prepping our son here in hopes of a even better outcome especially since he has a whole year. The teachers are very involved with the students and make sure they have everything they need to succeed no matter how much time they have!”

We were so excited to see the results of our son's second SAT today---he increased his math score by more than 100 points and his overall SAT score by 120 points. The review of fundamental concepts, teaching of test strategies, and positive reinforcement and feedback all contributed to his confidence and ability. In addition to the regular classes, the before-class sessions with Mr. Parker helped his understanding of math concepts and reminded him of what he had learned earlier in school but forgotten. Mrs. Parker's no-nonsense and keeping it real approach with the students--and parents--was also an asset. They care about helping your child succeed to the best of his/her ability and seeing them through the process. This pandemic has presented many challenges to our high school seniors (and others). Just grateful that our son was able to take the classes and the two SAT tests...and that now he can use this higher score on his college applications. That's a big deal. Thanks again Prep 1st. ”

My son prepared for the SAT and ACT exam with Prep First and due to the excellent tutoring he received he achieved the scores he needed in order to get into the school of his choice. The Prep First is not only excellent because of it's excellent preparation skills it teaches but because they actually care about the kids they tutor and are available to them anytime they have questions.
